Here’s something we can all agree on: Our society is a sick one. Cancer, diabetes, anxiety, depression, and various other diseases are on an intimidating rise all around us. Approximately 133 million Americans, 45% of the population, have at least one chronic disease, and chronic diseases are responsible for killing more than 1.7 million Americans every year. Every one if us dreads being the next one to succumb to one or more of these costly and physically draining setbacks. If only there was a natural little something that had the ability to protect us; and could cure or significantly help these serious health issues, right?
Lucky for us, about 10,000 years ago, a vegetable by the name of “Cannabis” was discovered in ancient China and had been used medically and spiritually for thousands of years. Its numerous healing properties allowed it to flourish not only in China but in many other places as well, including Japan, India, Egypt and Ancient Rome. It eventually reached the Americas where it was used in leading medicines and tinctures for many years, with cannabis serving as the main crop in many areas.
On top of its all-around mastery of maintaining and improving a healthy body, cannabis has been relied on to actually prevent illnesses and diseases before they occur. It is by far one of the world’s most healthy plants. The natural compounds in the plant actually interact with the specific receptors in a person’s endocannabinoid system, allowing it to be much more helpful and compliant with the body than a pill synthesized in a lab.
With all of the benefits cannabis has to offer humanity, it may seem confusing as to why it has been illegal in the states for so long. Well, the reason is simple. The conflict over cannabis was based on racism; mostly toward African Americans and Mexican migrant workers in the 1970’s. At the time, it was openly verbalized that we, the American people, had a social obligation to uphold our status as the ‘superior’ race. Denying these cultured people the right to a recreational activity gave officers an excuse to search and arrest more and more people of color; which in turn ‘got rid’ of the white peoples’ problem. The true basis of the ban on a plant that has been used medically for thousands of years all boils down to one thing, and that is racism. It is good to see more people opening their eyes and realizing that one fact, and thus the ban is being fought against and repealed little by little.
At long last, we are gaining back our freedom as the use of cannabis becomes legal again. There are endless possibilities that surround this newly revived plant, such as mixing it with fellow super foods. This is where the coconut comes into play; more importantly the oil it produces. Coconut oil has antibacterial properties and MTCs (medium chain triglycerides) which help fight infections and improve the tolerance of glucose in the body. These benefits are enhanced by the endocannibanoids, which boost absorption almost immediately.
With the assistance of one of our favorite tools, the Magical Butter Machine, it is possible to infuse cannabis and coconut oil together. This combination produces a little concoction with the benefits of the two; helping tension, weight, and overall health. It can be cooked with, incorporated into your favorite recipes, or used in any way that coconut oil can. Here’s how to do it:
You will need:
2 cups coconut oil
2 tbsp lecithin (acts as a binder, which cannabis lacks)
14 g dried herb
1 MagicalButter machine
1. Place all of the ingredients into the MagicalButter machine and secure the head.
2. Press the ‘Temperature’ button; select 160°F/71°C and press the 2 Hours/Butter button.
3. When the cycle is complete, unplug the machine and remove the head out of the appliance. After putting on your LoveGlove™, slowly pour the contents of the pitcher through the PurifyFilter™ into a container, or even back into the coconut oil jar (Just be sure to label it “cannabis”).
Now that you have your tools and knowledge about the great benefits that await when adding this power couple to your diet, what are you waiting for? Give it a try!
